Recupere el combustible en un bidón, tápelo y póngalo

combustible (2), de impulsión combustible bomba-em-
palme (3), de depresión (4).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (5).
Saque la bomba combustible (1).

Introduzca la herramienta especial en las dos lengüe-
tas (8) y gire en sentido antihorario.

Saque parcialmente la sonda nivel combustible (9).

Desconecte el conector eléctrico sonda nivel combus-

y la salida de vapores de combustible.

Do not dispose of fuel in the environment.
Drain the fuel tank completely, see p. 61 (DRAINING
THE FUEL TANK).
Put the fuel in a container, plug it and store it in a safe
place.
Disconnect the following pipes from the pump (1): fuel
suction pipe (2), pump-union fuel delivery pipe (3), vac-
uum pipe (4).
Unscrew and remove the screw (5).
Remove the fuel pump (1).

Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
Unscrew and remove the three screws (6).
Remove the cover (7).
NOTE
Use the special tool # code 8140206.
Insert the special tool in the two tangs (8) and rotate
anticlockwise.

Partially remove the fuel level gauge unit (9).

Handle with care.
Avoid damaging the gauge unit during the removal.
Disconnect the electric connector of the fuel level
gauge unit (10).
Remove the fuel level gauge unit (9) completely.

Plug the gauge unit seat on the tank, to avoid any ac-
cidental introduction of impurities and foreign mat-
ters and the exit of fuel vapours.
