Antes de efectuar las operaciones sucesivas, deje en-
friar el motor y el silenciador de escape hasta alcan-
zar la temperatura ambiente, para evitar posibles que-
maduras.

ATENCION
Si está presente la brida suplementaria (1): NO opere
sobre los tornillos (2) y (3) sino siga el procedimiento
aquí descrito.
Destornille y quite los tornillos (4) y (5).
Par de apriete tornillos (4) y (5): 12 Nm (1,2 kgm).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (6) de fijación guardaba-
rros.
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (7) y (8) de fijación
silenciador de escape al motor.
Par de apriete tornillos (7) y (8): 25 Nm (2,5 kgm).
Saque el silenciador de escape.
IMPORTANTE
Durante la instalación, sustituya la
junta entre colector de escape y silenciador de escape
con otra nueva.

Para el desmontaje completo del interruptor de en-
cendido (9):
Desmonte el escudo delantero interior, véase pág. 49
(DESMONTAJE TAPA DELANTERA INTERIOR).
Desmonte el escudo delantero exterior, véase pág. 51
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO DELANTERO EXTERIOR).
Desconecte los dos conectores eléctricos (10) y (11).
Destornille y quite el tornillo (12) y guarde la arandela
y el casquillo.
Destornille y quite el tornillo especial (13) y guarde la
arandela y el casquillo.
Saque el interruptor completo (9) y guarde el soporte
(14).
Para el desmontaje del bloque contactos interruptor
de encendido (15):
Desmonte el escudo delantero exterior, véase pág. 51
(DESMONTAJE ESCUDO DELANTERO EXTERIOR).
Desconecte los dos conectores eléctricos (10) y (11).
Destornille y quite los dos tornillos (16).
Saque el bloque contactos interruptor de encendido
(15).

Before performing the operations described below,
let the engine and the exhaust silencer cool down un-
til they have reached room temperature, in order to
avoid burns.

If the additional flange (1) is provided, DO NOT un-
screw the screws (2) and (3), but follow the procedure
described here below.
Unscrew and remove the screws (4) and (5).
Screw (4) and (5) driving torque:
12 Nm (1.2 kgm).
Unscrew and remove the mudguard fastening screw
(6).
Unscrew and remove the two screws (7) and (8) that
fasten the exhaust silencer to the engine.
Screw (7) and (8) driving torque:
25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
Remove the exhaust silencer.
NOTE
Upon reassembly, replace the gasket between
the exhaust manifold and the silencer with a new one.

To remove the ignition switch (9) completely, proceed
as follows:
Remove the front inner shield, see p. 49 (REMOVING
THE FRONT INNER SHIELD).
Remove the front outer shield, seep. 51 (REMOVING
THE FRONT OUTER SHIELD).
Disconnect the two electric connectors (10) and (11).
Unscrew and remove the screw (12), taking the washer
and the bushing.
Unscrew and remove the special screw (13), taking the
washer and the bushing.
Remove the whole switch (9), taking the support (14).
To remove the ignition switch contact block (15), pro-
ceed as follows:
Remove the front outer shield, see p. 51 (REMOVING
THE FRONT OUTER SHIELD).
Disconnect the two electric connectors (10) and (11).
Unscrew and remove the two screws (16).
Remove the ignition switch contact block (15).
