– Scaricare l'impianto di raffredda-
mento, vedi pag. 74 (SCARICO IM-
PIANTO DI RAFFREDDAMENTO).
– Scollegare il terminale (A) [(cavo
bianco/nero (Bi/N)] dal termistore
(21).
– Rimuovere il termistore (21).
– Collegare, come illustrato in figura,
un tester tascabile (D) (impostato
come ohmmetro) al termistore (21).
– Immergere il termistore in un reci-
piente (F) contenente liquido refri-
gerante.
– Immergere nello stesso recipiente
un termometro (E) con escursione
0° − 150°C.
– Posizionare il recipiente sopra un
fornello (G) e fare riscaldare lenta-
mente il liquido.
– Controllare la temperatura indicata
dal termometro e il valore del termi-
store indicato sul tester.
Verificare che il termistore vari in fun-
zione della temperatura come indicato.

Se i valori non variano, oppure si di-
scostano troppo da quelli riportati
in tabella, sostituire il termistore.

FUNCIONAMIENTO TERMISTOR
– Descargue la instalación de refrige-
ración, véase pág. 75 (DESCARGA
INSTALACION DE REFRIGERA-
CION).
– Desconecte el terminal (A) [cable
blanco/negro (Bi/N)] del termistor
(21).
– Desmonte el termistor (21).
– Conecte, según lo indicado en figu-
ra, un tester de bolsillo (D) (progra-
mado como óhmetro) al termistor
(21).
– Introduzca el termistor en un reci-
piente (F) con líquido refrigerante.
– Introduzca en el mismo recipiente
un termómetro (E) con campo de
medida 0° − 150°C.
– Coloque el recipiente sobre un hor-
nillo (G) y caliente despacio el líqui-
do.
– Controle la temperatura indicada
por el termómetro y el valor del ter-
mistor indicado en el tester.
Compruebe que el termistor varíe según
la temperatura, como está indicado..

CHECKING THE THERMISTOR
OPERATION
– Drain the cooling system, see p. 75
(DRAINING THE COOLANT SYS-
TEM ).
– Disconnect the terminal (A) (white/
black (Bi/N) cable) from the thermis-
tor (21).
– Remove the thermistor (21), see
ENGINE SERVICE AND REPAIR
MANUAL n. 921 (I-UK-F-D-E).
– Connect a pocket tester (D) (set as
an ohmmeter) to the thermistor (21),
as indicated in the figure.
– Dip the thermistor into a container
(F) containing coolant.
– Dip a thermometer (E) with range
0°÷150°C into the same container.
– Put the container on a burner (G)
and slowly warm up the coolant.
– Check the temperature indicated by
the thermometer and the thermistor
value indicated by the tester.
Make sure that the thermistor varies
according to the temperature. as indi-
cated.
