El aire, si está presente en el circuito hidráulico, actúa ab-
sorbiendo una gran parte de la presión ejercida por la
bomba frenos y reduciendo la eficacia de la pinza durante
el frenado. La presencia del aire se manifiesta: con la "es-
ponjosidad" del mando del freno y con la reducción de la
capacidad de frenado.

PELIGRO
Considerando lo peligroso de esta situación para el
vehículo y el piloto, es absolutamente indispensable
purgar el aire del circuito hidráulico, tras haber insta-
lado los frenos y haber restablecido las normales
condiciones de uso de la instalación de frenado.
Destornille los dos tornillos (1).
Desmonte la tapa (2).
IMPORTANTE
Mantenga el líquido de los frenos
en el depósito paralelo al borde del mismo (en posición
horizontal); de tal forma se evitan salidas del líquido du-
rante el relleno.
Quite la junta (3).
Compruebe que el nivel del líquido cubra del todo el
cristal (4) y, si necesario, rellene.
Quite el tapón de protección (5) de la válvula de purga (6).
Conecte un tubo transparente (7) a la válvula de purga (6).

ATENCION
No ensucie las pastillas o el disco con el líquido frenos.
a
PELIGRO
Utilizando el líquido de los frenos, tenga cuidado con
no verterlo sobre las partes de plástico o pintadas,
porque podría estropearlas irreparablemente.
Coloque la extremidad suelta del tubo transparente
dentro de un recipiente (8).
Accione, despacio y hasta el fondo, la palanca freno
dos o tres veces, luego manténgala accionada.

ATENCION
Aflojando la válvula de purga (6) controle el nivel del
líquido frenos en el depósito. Evite vaciar completa-
mente el depósito del líquido frenos porque, en caso
contrario, podría entrar aire en el circuito.
Afloje la válvula de purga y controle si burbujas de aire
salen del tubo transparente junto con el líquido frenos.

ATENCION
Antes de soltar la palanca del freno, apriete la válvula
de purga (6), para impedir que el aire entre en el cir-
cuito de los frenos.
Cuando saldrá sólo el líquido frenos, apriete la válvula
de purga (6) y suelte la palanca freno.
Par de apriete válvula de purga:
4−12 Nm (0,4−1,2 kgm).
IMPORTANTE
Repita las últimas tres operacio-
nes hasta eliminar del todo las burbujas de aire.

PELIGRO
Tras la instalación, accione varias veces la palanca
del freno y controle el funcionamiento correcto del
sistema de frenado.

The air, when present in the hydraulic circuit, absorbs most
of the pressure exerted by the brake pump and therefore re-
duces the effectiveness of the caliper action during the brak-
ing. The presence of air is signalled by the elasticity of the
brake control and by reduced braking capacity.

Since these conditions would be extremely danger-
ous for the vehicle and for the rider, it is absolutely
necessary to bleed the hydraulic circuit after the reas-
sembly of the brakes and the restoration of the nor-
mal conditions of use.
Unscrew the two screws (1).
Remove the cover (2).
NOTE
It is advisable to keep the fluid in the tank par-
allel to the tank edge (in horizontal position), in order not
to spill it while topping up.
Remove the gasket (3).
Make sure that the fluid covers the glass (4) completely
and top up if necessary.
Remove the protection cap (5) of the air valve (6).
Connect a transparent pipe (7) to the air valve (6).

Do not dirty the pads or the disc with brake fluid.
a
When using the brake fluid, take care not to spill it on
the plastic or painted parts, since it irreparably dam-
ages them.
Put the free end of the transparent pipe inside a con-
tainer (8).
Slowly and thoroughly pull the brake lever for two or
three times, then keep it pulled.

Loosen the bleed valve (6) and check the brake fluid
level in the reservoir . Do not empty the brake reser-
voir completely, in order to prevent the accidental in-
troduction of air in the circuit.
Loosen the air valve and check if air bubbles still come
into the transparent pipe together with the brake fluid.

Before releasing the brake lever, close the air valve (6),
in order to prevent air from entering the brake circuit.
When only brake fluid flows out, tighten the air valve (6)
and release the brake lever.
Air valve driving torque:
4÷12 Nm (0.4÷1.2 kgm)
NOTE
Repeat the last three operations until eliminat-
ing the air bubbles completely.

After reassembly, pull the brake lever repeatedly and
check the proper functioning of the braking system.
