Hay que sustituir los tubos que presentan señales de
desecación, hendiduras o cortes. Controle que los tu-
bos NO estén estrangulados y que NO presenten es-
trechamientos.
Compruebe la integridad del tubo de aspiración com-
bustible (2) del depósito.
Compruebe la integridad del tubo de depresión (3) que
procede del motor.
Compruebe la integridad del manguito de impulsión
combustible (4).
Compruebe la integridad del tubo de impulsión com-
bustible (1).
Compruebe la integridad de los empalmes (6) y (7).
Compruebe la integridad del tubo recogida combusti-
ble (8).
Compruebe la integridad del manguito (9).
Si ninguna de estas operaciones tiene éxito: sustituya
la bomba combustible (5).

PELIGRO
Peligro de incendio.
Espere a que el motor y los silenciadores de escape
se hayan enfriado del todo.
Coloque el vehículo sobre el caballete central.
Pare el motor y espere a que el vehículo se haya en-
friado.
Prepare un recipiente, con capacidad superior a la
cantidad de combustible presente en el depósito, y co-
lóquelo sobre el suelo por el lado izquierdo del vehícu-
lo.
Vacíe el depósito del combustible utilizando una bom-
ba manual o un sistema semejante.

ATENCION
Al término de la evacuación, cierre el tapón del depó-
sito.
Para vaciar del todo el carburador:
Saque la caja filtro completa, véase pág. 141 (DES-
MONTAJE).
Coloque la extremidad suelta del tubo (10) dentro de
un recipiente.
Abra el respiradero del carburador aflojando el tornillo
de purga (11) colocado debajo del tanque.
En cuanto haya salido todo el combustible contenido en
el carburador:
Atornille el tornillo de purga (11).

Atornille con cuidado el tornillo de purga (11) para
evitar pérdidas de combustible del carburador cuan-
do reposta.

Change the pipes that show signs of drying, cracks or
cuts. Make sure that the pipes are NEITHER twisted,
NOR throttled in any points.
Check the soundness of the fuel suction pipe (2) con-
nected to the tank.
Check the soundness of the vacuum pipe (3) connect-
ed to the engine.
Check the soundness of the fuel delivery coupling (4).
Check the soundness of the fuel delivery pipe (1).
Check the soundness of the unions (6) and (7).
Check the soundness of the fuel recovery pipe (8).
Check the soundness of the coupling (9).
If none of these operations is successful, change the
fuel pump (5).

Risk of fire.
Wait until the engine and the exhaust silencers have
completely cooled down.
Fuel vapours are noxious for your health.
Position the vehicle on the centre stand.
Stop the engine and wait until it has cooled down.
Prepare a container with capacity exceeding the fuel
quantity present in the tank and put it on the ground on
the left side of the vehicle.
Empty the fuel tank by means of a manual pump or a
similar system.

After draining the tank, tighten the plug.
To empty the carburettor completely, proceed as follows:
Remove the filter casing, see p. 141 (REMOVAL) .
Put the free end of the pipe (10) into a receptacle.
Open the carburettor outlet by loosening the drain
screw (11) positioned under the float chamber.
When all the fuel has flowed out of the carburettor:
Tighten the drain screw (11) completely.

Tighten the drain screw (11) with care, to avoid fuel
leakages from the carburettor during the refuelling.
