7.4.16 MU Function – Modbus Master
The MU function is only available in the models 20VR-D and 20VT-D. This function allows
to set Modbus telegrams, that will be sent by the port RS-485 of CLICK-02, enabling the
communicaton with other devices that have Modbus protocol (frequency inverters,
multimeters, scales, etc). CLIC-02 allows the configuration of 15 Modbus telegrams through
the functions MU01 ~ MU0F. RS-485 port configurations are adjusted by the CLIC-02
programming tool, in the menu Operation >> System Configuration. For the Modbus
function be executed, the Datalink configurations and remote I/O must be disabled, seeing
that the address of the RS-485 port must be different from 0. For further information, see
chapter 7 – Communication functions of the RS-485 Port. The Modbus function takes
the communication port when enabled. Therefore, there may be multiple MU configured
functions in one program, but only one can be enabled at a time.
On the CLIC-02 display, or in the programming tool, the MU function will be shown as
follows:
