7.4.2.8.2 Counter Mode 8 – High Speed Counter
The high speed counter mode 8 works as a frequency comparator, enabling the output
when the read frequency in the input is within the programmed range. The high speed
inputs I01 and I02 are available, and it is necessary to enable the counter so that the
comparison can be executed.
The counter will totalize the number of received pulses in the input, within the defined scan
time. If the number of pulses counted in this period is within the programmed comparison
range (defined by function parameters), the output will be enabled. At each start of a new
scan cycle, the current counting value will be reset. The counter parameters in this mode
are different from the regular counters, as observed below:
