If there is an error in the PT100 wiring or the input channel is open, the value read by
CLIC-02/4PT will be outside the expected range. Thus, CLIC-02 will neither update nor
store the channel value and the M error marker corresponding to the channel will be set.
11.4 COMMUNICATION EXPASION MODULES
11.4.1 Modbus Module
Summary
The module CLIC-02/MBUS allows a CLIC-02 to communicate with other devices via
Modbus protocol, in both the master and the slave modes. CLIC-02/MBUS works as a
Modbus slave node, responding to the requests of the network master, which makes its
scan circle become greater. Normally, the cycle time is lower than 20ms, but it increases
when the CLIC-02 processes a request from the master. For example, to write the setting
value of a function, the scan cycle can reach approximately 100ms.
