WARRANTY TERMS FOR PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLERS
WARRANTY
Weg Equipamentos Elétricos S/A – Automação, located at Pref. Waldemar Grubba Avenue,
3000, Jaraguá do Sul – SC, warrants the hardware of its Programmable Controllers against
defects in material and workmanship under the following conditions:
1.0 For the effectiveness of this warranty, it is essential that the buyer inspects carefully
the acquired programmable controller immediately after its delivery, checking its features
and installation, adjustment, operation and maintenance instructions. The programmable
controller will be considered accepted and automatically approved by the purchaser when
there is no written notice by the buyer, within at most 5 days after the delivery date.
2.0 The warranty period is 12 months from WEG's issuing date, proved through the
equipment invoice.
3.0 In case of malfunction or improper operation of the programmable controller during
the warranty time, the warranty services will be carried out at the discretion of Weg
Equipamentos Elétricos S/A – Automação.
4.0 The product with defect must be available to the supplier for the required period to
detect the cause of the failure and its corresponding repairs.
5.0 Weg Equipamentos Elétricos S/A Automação will analyze the returned programmable
controller, and, if any failure covered under warranty is proved, it will repair, modify or
replace the defective programmable controller at its discretion, without any costs to the
buyer, except as indicated in 7.0.
6.0 The present warranty liability is limited to repairs, changes or replacement of the
supplied programmable controller only. Weg will have no obligation or liability regarding to
personnal injury, third parties, other equipment or installations, loss of profits, or any other
incidental and consequential damages.
7.0 Other expenses, as freights, packing, disassembling/assembling and parameter setting
costs will be paid exclusively by the buyer, including all fees, tickets, accommodation and
meal expenses for technical personnel, when needed and/or requested by the costumer.
8.0 The present warranty does not cover the normal wear of the product or equipment,
neither damages resulting from incorrect or negligent operation, improper maintenance
or storage, failures caused by the programs (applied software) and its corrections/
improvements, abnormal operation out of the technical specifications, poor quality
installation, or chemical, electrochemical, electrical, mechanical or atmospheric influences.

09. This warranty does not cover consumable parts or components, such as plastic or
rubber parts, incandescent bulbs, fuses, batteries, etc.
