7.2 INSTRUCTIONS WITH DIGITAL VARIABLES
7.2.1 Pulse Logic – Rising edge
The pulse contact 'D' will detect a rising edge in the previous logic, enabling only one scan
cycle after this detection. In the example below, when the input I01 changes from OFF to
ON, the contact 'D' keeps ON for one scan cycle, enabling the output Q01 for this period.

The pulse contact 'D' will detect a falling edge in the previous logic, enabling only one
scan cycle after this detection. In the example below, when the input I01 changes from
ON to OFF, the contact 'D' keeps ON for one scan cycle, enabling the output Q01 for
this period.
