5.5.9 Program Documentation
CLIC-02 Edit Software includes the possibility to document a program using Symbols and
Line Comments. The Symbols are used to name each I/O address up to 12 characters. Line
Comments are used to document sections of a program. Each Line Comment may have
up to 4 lines, each line containing up to 50 characters. Below there are some examples of
Symbol and Line Comment inputs.
5.5.9.1 Symbol...
The environment for Symbol editing may be accessed by the Edit>>Symbol... menu or
by using the symbol icon on the main toolbar, as shown below. This environment allows to
name all types of variables, either digital markers (Mxx, Ixx, Qxx, etc) or specific functions
(PIxx, DRxx, MDxx, etc), and select the desired display modes.
During the logic edition, symbols and the name of the variables will be displayed according
to the selection:
Contact/Coil. Displays only the name of the variable/function. Ex.: Q01, PI02, Y04
Symbol. Displays only the symbol related to the variable. Ex.: I01 = "Start"; I02 = "Return P".
Both. Displays the Contact/Coil and the symbol given to the variable.
