7.4.1.5 Timer Mode 4 – De-energizing Delay
The timer will activate the output contacts when the enabling input is turned off, thus
starting time counting. When the programmed time is reached, the output will be turned
off. If the enabling input is turned on again during the time counting, this counting will be
reset, keeping the timer output off until a new complete counting. The reset input will reset
the current counting value, with priority on the enabling input. In the example below, the
timer is enabled by the input I04. When input I04 is turned off, the timer will turn on the
output contacts and start the programmed time counting. The output is turned off after
the programmed time of 5 seconds.

7.4.1.6 Timer Mode 5 – Oscillator
When a timer in oscillator mode is enabled, its output will alternate continuously between
on-off, always starting the cycle with the output on. The period with the output turned on
and the period with the output off is the same, defined by the programmed time of the
timer. When the enabling input is turned off, the timer output will be immediately turned
off. In the example below, when the input I04 is turned on, the timer T01 will be enabled
and will start the on-off cycle in its output. When I04 is turned off, the timer output is also
immediately turned off without waiting for the end of a time cycle.
