13.5 PACKAGING MACHINE COUNTER
Requirements
1) The packaging cycle starts with the count of the products at the end of the production
line. When the count value reaches 12 unities, the machine proceeds the packaging
operation which takes 5 seconds. Once completed, it begins a new cycle.
2) You must count the final amount of product pakages.
3) In case of power failure, the counter remains unchanged.
Analysis:
1) A sensor is used to generate a pulse when it detects the arrival of a product. A counter
activates the output when the count value reaches 12, and a timer is used to obtain the
5-second delay.
2) The counter will be used in mode 3 or 4, as an effort to maintain an accurate count even
in case of power failure.
