4. OPERATING NOTES

4.6 Towing

All four wheels must be lifted up when towing vehicles with all-wheel-
drive. Otherwise there will be damage to the transfer case.
If only the front axle can be lifted up, then the universal drive shaft between
the rear axle and the transfer case must be removed. There will be no drive
if one of the two universal drive shafts between the axles is removed.
Always use new screws when installing the universal drive shaft.

5. VEHICLE MARKING

In addition to the vehicle identification number (VIN) applied by Volkswagen AG / MAN
Truck & Bus AG, and the type plate, your vehicle will be equipped with an Oberaigner type
identification plate.
The vehicle identification data must not be changed or applied in a different location.

5.1 Oberaigner type identification plate

The Oberaigner type identification plate with the vehicle identification number and the
details of the permissible weights is located on the seat box of the driver's seat.
