18. ECT (ENGINE COOLANT
TEMPERATURE) SENSOR
• REPLACEMENT
1) Remove the engine cover (P. 4-2).
2) Disconnect the ECT sensor 2P connector and remove the
ECT sensor.
3) Remove the O-ring from the ECT sensor.
4) Apply engine oil to the new O-ring and install it on the new
ECT sensor.
5) Apply liquid gasket (ThreeBond
equivalent) to the threaded part of the new ECT sensor.
6) Install the new ECT sensor and tighten it to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 18 N . m (1.8 kgf . m, 13 lbf . ft)
7) Connect the ECT sensor 2P connector.
8) Install the engine cover (P. 4-2).
19. CKP (CRANKSHAFT POSITION)
SENSOR 1, 2
• REPLACEMENT
1) Remove the alternator bracket (P. 7-3).
2) Remove the 6 x 16 mm flange bolt, and remove the CKP
sensor and the O-ring.
3) Apply engine oil to the new O-ring and install it on the new
CKP sensor.
4) Install the new CKP sensor and tighten the 6 x 16 mm
flange bolt securely.
5) Install the alternator bracket (P. 7-16).
