22) Remove the four 8 x 75 mm flange bolts, four 8 x 55 mm hex bolts, four 8 mm washers and the two 8 x 35 mm flange
bolts from the underside of the primary gear case.

23) Lift up the engine assembly slowly and remove it from the primary gear case.

• Be sure that the chain is set on the engine hangers securely.
• Hold the engine assembly level while lifting it up.

24) Remove the primary gear case gasket, two 6 x 10 mm dowel pins, thrust spring and the primary driven gear from the
primary gear case.

Replace the primary gear case gasket with a new one on reassembly.
