Stuffed pepper
(Greece)
Ingredients (for 9 persons)
9 large peppers (red, green and yellow)
Olive oil
3 onions
1 clove of garlic
1 kg tomatoes
600 g mince (ground lamb or beef)
300 g boiled rice
200 g goats cheese
1 bunch parsley
Fresh herbs (e.g. rosemary, oregano, thyme, basil)
Salt, pepper, paprika powder
1 pinch of cinammon
1/4 l vegetable stock
Plug in the roaster's heating element. Set the oven
to the "Roaster" function and preheat to 180 °C.
Preparation
Cut the tops off the peppers. Remove the pips and
ribs from the peppers. Rinse the peppers and place
them in the roaster.
For the stuffing, peel the garlic and onions and
chop them finely. Skin the tomatoes, remove the
stalks and cut them into small pieces. Chop the
herbs. Heat oil in a pan and steam the garlic and
onions, add the mince and roast it briefly as well.
Add rice, tomatoes, goats cheese, herbs and
spices.
Stuff the seasoned mince mixture in the peppers
and fit the top back on each pepper. Carefully pour
the vegetable stock into the roaster.
Fit the lid on the roaster and cook in the preheated
oven for 25 minutes. Switch to 140 °C and continue
to cook without lid for a further 20 minutes.

Baked apples

Ingredients (for 9 persons)
9 large apples (e.g. Boskoop)
Marzipan filling
1 tin of apricots
100 g raisins
300 g raw marzipan
150 ml apricot liqueur
Almond filling
70 g butter
50 g raisins
3 tablespoons rum
70 g almond sticks
50 g sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Plug in the roaster's heating element. Set the oven
to the "Roaster" function and preheat to 160 °C.
Preparation
Marzipan filling
Finely grate the marzipan and dissolve it in apricot
liqueur. Allow the apricots to drip dry and cut them
into cubes. Rinse the raisins and stir them into the
marzipan together with the apricot cubes.
Almond filling
Rinse the raisins and soak them in rum. Mix the
sugar with cinnamon.
Rinse the apples and generously cut out the core.
Place the apples in the roaster. Fill half of the
apples with the marzipan filling. Alternately fill the
other half of the apples with raisin, almonds, pieces
of butter and the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Place the roaster in the preheated oven and roast
for 15 – 20 minutes without the lid. Serve with a
Sabayon sauce.
