• CONTINUITY CHECK - SEGMENTS
Check for continuity between the segments. If an open circuit
exists between any two segments, replace the armature.
• SHORT-CIRCUIT TEST - SHAFT-TO-
COMMUTATOR
Check for continuity between the commutator and the
armature shaft. If there is continuity, replace the armature.
• SHORT-CIRCUIT TEST - CORE-TO-COMMUTATOR
Check for continuity between the commutator and the
armature coil core. If continuity exists, replace the armature.
• SHORT-CIRCUIT TEST - SHAFT-TO-ARMATURE
Check for continuity between the armature and the armature
shaft. If there is continuity, replace the armature.
