e. INSTALLATION
1) Set the tiller handle assembly on the outboard motor, and tighten the two 10 mm washers and the two 10 x 32 mm
hex bolts to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 34 N . m (3.5 kgf . m, 25 lbf . ft)

2) Clamp the handle cable using the harness band clip.

Install the remote control cable plate.

3) Pass the handle cable, starter cable and the two remote
control cables through the under case grommet A in the
15
positions shown.
Install the under case grommet A on the engine under case.

4) Install the remote control cables on the remote control
cable plate aligning the groove in each cable with the
17
corresponding recess in the cable plate.
