41) Install the drive joint in the gear pump assembly in the
position shown.

42) Hold the cylinder comp. in a vise using a shop towel or

equivalent material.
NOTICE

Do not tighten the vise excessively, as it can damage the
cylinder comp.

Loosen the manual valve by turning it 2-1/2 turns or more.

43) Pour the ATF into the cylinder comp. slowly with care not
to foam it. Pour the ATF from the piston rod installation

part of the cylinder comp. until it flows out of the gear
pump chamber of the cylinder comp. this time.

NOTICE

After pouring the ATF into the cylinder comp., check the
gear pump chamber for bubbles in the ATF. Remove the
bubbles in the ATF using an oil bottle, or they will cause air
16
in the system.

After removing the bubbles, pour the fresh ATF into the
cylinder comp. again until the gear pump chamber is filled
18
with ATF.
