1. REMOTE CONTROL CABLE/GROMMET

a. REMOVAL
• Move the shift to the "N" (Neutral) position before removing
the remote control cables/grommet.

1) Remove the engine cover (P. 4-2).

2) Remove the two 6 x 28 mm flange bolts, two 6 x 40 mm hex

bolts and the two 6 mm washers, and remove the separate
case.

3) Remove the handle cable 14P connector and the handle

cable 6P connector from the main relay bracket, and
disconnect the handle cable 14P connector and the 6P
14
connector [Tiller handle type only].

Remove the remote control cable A 14P connector and the
indicator wire 6P connector from the main relay bracket,

and disconnect the 14P connector and the 6P connector
[Remote control type only].
