Exhauster damper
A. Manual - Automatic: the Manual-Automatic button gives to the
operator the option of choosing between two operating modes. In
automatic operation the actuator is going to try to maintain the
depression as close as possible to the dryer's setpoint pressure (F);
B. Open: when this button is pressed, the actuator opens the damper.
This is a retentive button, which means that it will remain pressed
until the operator pushes it again. This button can only be used
when the operation is in manual mode;
C. Close: when this button is pressed, the actuator closes the damper.
This is a retentive button, which means that it will remain pressed
until the operator pushes it again. This button can only be used
when the operation is in manual mode;
D. Close dampers: when this button is pressed the actuator will close
the exhauster damper and the cold-air damper in the proportion set
in Ciber's restricted access area, independently of the percentage it
is currently found. This button can only be used when the operation
is in manual mode;
E. Configuration: when this button is pressed it will open a window
where it is possible to see the actual level of pressure in the dryer as
well as change the pressure's setpoint. This value is used in the
automatic operating mode;
F. Dryer's setpoint pressure: level of the actual pressure in the dryer in
millimeters on a U-tube water pressure gauge;
G. Pressure in the dryer: this is the dryer's pressure reference so that
by opening or closing the damper, it is as close as possible to this
amount. The specifics here are that the PLC receives a pressure
signal from the dryer and makes a comparison of this level with the
reference and depending on this difference it either closes or opens
the damper using the actuator.
ATTENTION
The operation of the dampers should be checked on a daily
basis due to their importance. If they are not in perfect
working conditions they could cause the bags to burn or for
the combustion to be inefficient.
